Cleveland Research Company is an independent research firm headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio. Founded in 2006, CRC has expanded to 15 research teams across 50 key channels publishing research on over 150 companies. We pride ourselves on a disciplined research process that has us regularly engaged with the channels and companies we cover.
We are mainly focused on uncovering fundamental business inflection points via rigorous digging in the channel that serve as a foundation for our company and industry forecasts. Our clients find value from getting in front of key themes and trends that lead to faster and better strategic and financial decisions.

Market Research Overview
We built the foundation of CRC in the equity research business with institutional money managers as our primary client base (mutual funds, hedge funds, pension funds).
We believe we established a very unique business model that creates a competitive advantage for our institutional clients. Our discipline includes establishing long-term relationships with key contacts throughout the channel (suppliers, distributors, competitors, brokers, etc.) that help us spot real-time trends and inflections in the end markets we follow.
Due to the increasing number of requests from the channel to enable access to our research reports, we started to explore building a subscription platform in 2012 for companies to leverage our work across their entire organizations. We also experimented with hosting our own events and webinars as another layer of incremental service, and the participation has been well above our expectations.
Since our first Retail Conference in September 2012, we have hosted 25 events with 2,500 attendees and 45 webinars with another 6,000 people participating. We now have 150 partner companies and over 3,000 subscribers to our Market Research product and services.
In addition to subscriptions, we have created our first 2 channel-specific councils in Home Improvement and Foodservice. These member-only share groups are built to provide dedicated resources through incremental events, benchmarking, and custom insights/reports.
Our partners are also increasingly looking to us for advisory services, such as onsite presentations for senior leadership teams or primary research projects to answer specific strategic questions.
There are 5 people currently on the Market Research team including roles in research, sales, and operations. We are looking to significantly expand our capabilities through existing council development, the addition of new councils, and more partnership penetration across all channels.
Similar to our equity teams, we need high energy and high potential candidates with a combination of drive, passion, creativity, and an entrepreneurial spirt to help us exponentially grow Market Research going forward.
